Farrah Abraham’s DUI Defense Attorney Keeps Her Out of the Pokey

Farrah Abraham’s DUI Defense Attorney Keeps Her Out of the Pokey

Remember “Teen Mom” reality star, Farrah Abraham denying she was DUI (driving under the influence) back in March when she was out partying with her sisters for St. Patty’s Day.  And just days after the DUI arrest, Farrah released statements in her defense that she was sick and not drunk, “Because I’m sick, I could not give an accurate breathalyzer test.”

Apparently, Farrah’s DUI defense attorney did not want to use “Because I’m sick..” as the primary defense theory of the case.  Instead, her criminal lawyer is having her plead guilty to the DUI charge on June 20th.

If the judge agrees with the recommendations made by her defense attorney and the prosecutors, Farrah will avoid jail time completely.  Farrah will be placed on probation, have her driving privileges revoked, and pay $5oo.00 in fines.  Another benefit with pleading guilty to the DUI charge, Farrah’s additional criminal charge of disorderly conduct will be dismissed.

Justin Bieber a Menace in Calabasas – Reckless Driving, Smoking Marijuana, Assault

Justin Bieber a Menace in Calabasas – Reckless Driving, Smoking Marijuana, Assault

As of recent, pop icon, Justin Bieber, has become a terror in his Calabasas California neighborhood.   Police are becoming all too familiar with the singer as they have been called to investigate accusations of reckless driving, smoking marijuana on public sidewalks, and assault on a neighbor.

Back in March, Justin Bieber was confronted by one of his prestigious neighbors, Jeff Schwarts an auto mogul, for his ongoing reckless driving and driving at speeds around 100 mph down Calabasas streets.  In response, Justin allegedly assaulted Jeff by spitting on him and threatening to kill him.  Jeff’s wife, Suzie Schwartz shared her Bieber disgust with reporters, “He’s a punk.  He thinks he’s invincible.”  Police have finished their investigation and now it’s on the LA county District Attorney’s office to file assault charges.

During this past holiday weekend, JB managed to piss off former NFL superstar neighbor Keyshawn Johnson by reckless driving throughout their gated community in his Ferrari.  Keyshawn, who was driving a Prius, reportedly followed Justin to his home and blocked the Ferrari in the driveway with his fuel-efficient car.  Keyshawn got out of his car to confront Beibs about his dangerous reckless driving, but Bieber ran scared into his home and wouldn’t come out. Other witnesses observed the same erratic driving and verified Justin was the driver and it appeared he was high on marijuana. Keyshawn Johnson is fired up, stating Justin is “playing with dynamite.”  Seriously concerned for his children’s safety, Keyshawn plans on working with law enforcement to end Bieber’s reckless driving and menacing ways.

Additionally over the weekend, neighbors supposedly saw Justin and a friend smoking marijuana while driving Segways side by side, right in front of neighborhood kids!

Community members are sick of Bieber’s juvenile behavior and banding together, irritated neighbor Eric Dickerson, NFL Hall of Famer, sent tweets of “Justin Bieber needs to slow his ass down.” The community plans on initiating new rules through the homeowner’s board to discourage Justin’s dangerous illegal ways.

Justin needs to grow up fast and slow way down to 25 mph!

Washington State to Lower the Legal BAC Limit to .05 to Further Reduce DUI

Washington State to Lower the Legal BAC Limit to .05 to Further Reduce DUI

In efforts to reduce DUI (driving under the influence) and drunk driving related deaths, lawmakers, federal officials, and state officials have been working vigorously to find effective solutions.  Among recent recommendations, suggested by the National Transportation Safety Board, is for all states to lower the legal BAC (blood alcohol content) limit from .08 to .05.  This recommendation stems from the fact that more than 100 countries already have .05 as their legal BAC limit.   Europe, for example, has experienced significant drops in DUI related deaths, over a 50% reduction, since imposing the .05 limit about 10 years ago.

Just how low is a .05 BAC limit?  For a women weighing approximately 120 pounds, she will reach a .05 BAC after consuming 1 drink.  And for a man weighing around 160 pounds, he will reach .05 just after 2 drinks.

The National Transportation Safety Board realizes their recommendation will be met with much resistance, however as NTSB Chairman Deborah Hersman said, “Our goal is to get to zero deaths because each alcohol-impaired death is preventable… The tools exist.  What is needed is the will.”

The NTSB reported more than 4 million people a year in United States drive drunk, however only half of those drivers are ever stopped by law enforcement and investigated for DUI.
