Lil Twist, Justin Beiber’s Best Bud – Popped For Marijuana DUI

Lil Twist, Justin Beiber’s Best Bud – Popped For Marijuana DUI

Caught in the act with a lit marijuana blunt, 20-year-old Lil Twist, was arrested by Calabasas police for DUI of drugs.  Police stopped Lil Twist, real name Christopher Lynn Moore, for speeding in BFF Justin Bieber’s stealthy chrome Fisker Karma.  When law enforcement approached the vehicle to question Lil Twist, police allegedly saw a lit joint in the car with additional undisclosed amounts of marijuana.  Lil Twist was arrested and booked on suspicion of DUI of drugs.  The police reported he was not DUI based on alcohol.

Although Lil Twist has been charged with a DUI based on drug consumption the penalties are the same as if he was DUI based on alcohol.  Here in Washington State, the fact you are a minor and have been arrested for DUI does not necessarily mean you would be charged as a minor DUI, y0u would have to qualify.  To qualify as a minor DUI the individual would have to be under the age of 21 years and would have a breath test of at least .o2 but less than .08 or a marijuana THC concentration of above .000 but less than .05.  The penalties for a minor DUI include a fine ranging from $0-$1,000.00 and a maximum of 90 days in jail.

Seattle Mom Arrested for DUI – Prescription Drug Use

Seattle Mom Arrested for DUI – Prescription Drug Use

Here in Washington State not only can you be arrested for alcohol related DUI (driving under the influence)  but you can also be arrested for drug induced DUI.  “Drug” includes the illegal drugs such as heroin and cocaine and also legal or medically prescribed drugs, such as marijuana, codeine, percocet, and so many more.  If an individual is impaired by the use of any type of drug than it is illegal to drive.

Recently in the Seattle news, a 34-year-old mother was arrested for drug induced DUI.  On Monday night, June 17th,  this mother was in a 7 Eleven parking lot when she backed her pickup truck into a parked van.  When Seattle police arrived at the scene, they noted the mother was unsteady on her feet, swaying, and staggering.  She was asked to take the DUI field sobriety test which she allegedly failed miserably.

Police found 2 newly prescribed drug bottles on the floor of the mother’s truck of which many pills were missing.  To make matters worse, law enforcement found her 2-year-old in the back of her pickup truck poorly fastened in his car seat.  The woman was arrested for DUI, child endangerment, and negligent driving.

Drug induced DUI penalties are the same as alcohol related DUI penalties.  DUI charges are serious and consequences are harsh; fines, loss of driver’s license, jail time, etc.  It is important to choose a qualified DUI defense attorney to defend one’s rights.

Call David O Defense if you have been charged with a drug related DUI case.  The consultation is free but the peace of mind provided after is invaluable.

WWE Champ Arrested for Marijuana DUI

WWE Champ Arrested for Marijuana DUI

Mississippi police had the ultimate smackdown on WWE champ Jack Swagger when they arrested him last night for DUI (driving under the influence) and possession of marijuana.

World Wrestling Entertainment star Jack Swagger, real name Jacob Hager, had just finished taping a TV episode of “SmackDown” when he was pulled over by Biloxi Mississippi police for speeding.  Law enforcement claimed they could tell Swagger was DUI on marijuana (not an alcohol related DUI) giving them probable cause to search Swagger’s 2013 Ford Taurus.  Police found marijuana in Swagger’s budget friendly ride which led to Swagger’s arrest.

“The All American American” wrestler was charged with misdemeanor counts of speeding, DUI, and possession of marijuana.  Swagger was later released on his own recognizance.

The WWE’s reaction to Swaggers legal charges seemed minimal as they released the statement, “Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions.”

However, Jack isn’t completely off the hook with the WWE, according to their Wellness Policy “Any WWE Talent, who is arrested, convicted or who admits to a violation of law relating to use, possession, purchase, sale or distribution of drugs will be in material breach of his/her contract with WWE and subject to immediate dismissal.”

With a successful growing career on the line, Swagger better hire a DUI defense attorney that can put a prosecutor in a good pile drive to get his case dismissed!
