Not a Crime Victim – Justin Beiber’s PR Stunt

Not a Crime Victim – Justin Beiber’s PR Stunt

Earlier this week, Justin Beiber sent tweets to his almost 29 million twitter followers that he was a victim of theft at his concert held in Tacoma, Washington.  A laptop computer and a camera were listed as stolen by Justin.  A police report was never filed and therefore no police investigation ever occured.  Fans and social media became suspicious of Justin and his actions concerning this criminal act.  Was this a PR stunt by Justin?  Yes!  As it turns out an unknown source under the twitter account @gexwy, tweeted on Thursday they had possession of J.B.’s items and released a personal home video, according to IBTimes.  Amongst many tweets that occurred between Justin and @gexwy, was the tweet by @gexwy that they would show more personal Beiber footage on Friday at noon.  Justin’s millions of followers flocked in anticipation, what could it be?  Not too suprisingly it was J.B.’s new music video “Beauty and the Beat.”

Along with the music video Justin provided a string of tweets giving motive for the childish hoax “since i was 14 i have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family… to saying i had a baby with a woman i never even met. nude pics, drugs, my family, my character…but today…today i get to be in on it…”

No harm, no foul, no crime committed, just a few lies.

Choosing a Criminal Defense Attorney for Your Case

Choosing a Criminal Defense Attorney for Your Case

Just got arrested the night before and now looking for an attorney on the internet.  I google “Criminal defense attorney Seattle” or “DUI attorney Seattle” and a long list of  lawyer websites are presented in front of me.

So how does someone choose a criminal defense attorney?  In my opinion, with all the convenience the internet has done for us consumers it has also created a very difficult task when searching for a good criminal defense attorney.  It’s one thing to find a good Seattle restaurant to eat at for the night but a completely different task when searching for someone to help you out when dealing with, probably, one of the worst life circumstances one could face.  The internet has created for attorneys a “perception of competency” based on how well their respective websites look or, more importantly, the order in which they are listed on the first page of a google search.

Not all criminal defense attorneys are created equal.  Remember who you hire as your criminal defense attorney will act as your representative.  This attorney will be handling your case that determines your reputation and liberty interests.  This case may have very little impact on your future if handled well or, in the alternative, may cause long lasting negative consequences. I would recommend after reviewing the attorney’s website go check out other sites to review client and peer reviews on sites such as www.avvo.com or www.superlawyers.com.  And most importantly, go visit with the attorney in person and ask them what type of experience they have in representing those accused of a particular offense such as Driving Under the Influence (DUI/ Drunk Driving).

Justin Beiber – a Crime Victim in Tacoma, WA

Justin Beiber – a Crime Victim in Tacoma, WA

TMZ buzzed about recent crime victim tweets sent by teen music icon Justin Beiber.  While performing Tuesday in Tacoma, Washington at the Tacoma Dome, Justin claimed his personal laptop computer and camera went missing, stolen!  J.B. didn’t file a police report and therefore the Tacoma police won’t conduct an investigation on the theft.

TMZ is suspecting this theft of personal property may lead to more juicy Justin gossip being leaked out into the media.  The Seattle PI reported Justin’s crime victim tweets to include, “Really sucks,” and “People should respect other’s property.”

My weather forecast is; sun and youthful good times will continue for Justin, very slight chance of his music tour returning to Tacoma, and escalating chances of Beiber pics being released into the media by unknown sources.
