Bobby Brown is Sentenced to 55 Days in Jail for DUI #2.

Follow up report.  Bobby Brown is going to spend some time in the slammer for his latest charge of DUI that occurred in October 2012 (check out my blog “Snaps!  Bobby Brown’s 2nd DUI This Year” for the DUI arrest details).

Earlier today, retired singing sensation Bobby Brown, pled no contest to the DUI and driving on a license suspended charges.  The judge sentenced him to 55 days in jail, 4 years of probation, and completion of an 18 month DUI and alcohol treatment program.   Brown was also ordered to attend 3 Alcoholics Anonymous meeting per week until he starts his jail time, which must begin by March 20th.

This is Bobby Brown’s third DUI in his lifetime.  The first DUI occurred in 1996, followed by his second and third DUI in 2012.

Here in Washington State, if a person is guilty of a second DUI within seven years, they would be facing a jail sentence ranging from a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of 364 days behind bars.   They would also need to invest in a good pair of sneakers or a bus pass because they would lose their driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years and up to a max of 2 1/2 years.  Lets not forget fines ranging from $1196.00 to $5000.00 and electric home monitoring post jail time for at least 60 days.

Busted! DUI Celeb Moms!

Busted! DUI Celeb Moms!

I just came across a great article on The Stir that hot listed 6 celebrity moms for getting in trouble with the law and for having ugly mug shots.  Of the 6 ladies mentioned, my favorites were Moms charged with DUI, Heather Locklear, Tracy Gold, Jamie Pressly, and Chef Cat Cora.

A brief recap of the DUI charges… In 2008, Heather Locklear was charged with DUI on prescription drugs, the charges were later reduced to reckless driving.   Not so lucky for Locklear, the former Melrose Place actress, was her police mug shot that was so unforgettable it flooded all gossip avenues.

Tracy Gold, Growing Pains actress, flipped her SUV and rolled it down an embankment while DUI.  Her husband and children were also in the car, all suffered injuries except the four-month old baby.  A seriously bad decision by that Mama in 2004, and I’m sure she will never put her family in that kind of jeopardy again, YIKES!

Actress and mother, Jamie Pressly, was arrested and charged with DUI in 2011 after being stopped for a traffic violation.  Another unforgiving a celeb mug shot, poor Jamie Pressly, so pretty when sober.

Most recently, Chef Cat Cora, arrest and charged with DUI in June 2012 for rear-ending a car while leaving a tavern.  Police reported the famous Chef had a breath test twice the legal limit of .08.

Moms deserve to have a drink or two or more, however as we know they too must remain responsible and make good decisions like everyone else, call cabs or designate drivers etc.  Check out the article in full and view the ugly Mom mug shots, FUN! “6 Celebrity Moms Who Were Arrested for Being Bad (Photos)”  www.thestir.cafemom.com.

Harsh DUI Penalty – Terrell Williams

Harsh DUI Penalty – Terrell Williams

Senior Arkansas Razorback lineman, Terrell Williams, is already paying a harsh consequence for a DUI charge he received early Sunday morning.  Razorback coach, John L. Smith, announced Williams had been suspended indefinitely from college football because of the DUI arrest and charge, without opportunity to prove his innocence.  HARSH!  Perhaps in the world of college athletics, you are guilty until proven innocent!

DUI consequences will continue for Terrell if he is found guilty, possible jail time, losing his license, and fines.  A career in the NFL may be lost if it was possible prior to the DUI, Williams did have seven tackles in Saturday nights game against Tulsa.  DUI’s are unpredictable creatures and can terribly affect one’s life, such as Terrell Williams story of indefinite suspension.
