Wednesday night, April 4th, Miami Heat NBA player Chris Bosh was out celebrating his birthday with his wife at a South Beach night club. When he and his wife returned to their home around 12:30am they stumbled upon the worst B-Day gift ever…their house had been ransacked and robbed!
Bosh called police and reported 12 watches, 2 rings, purses, and $20,000.00 in cash was stolen. The value of the expensive goods taken was estimated at a whopping $340,000.00, the cost of a house!
Lucky for Bosh, the robbers must have known it was his birthday because they did not steal Bosh’s 2012 NBA championship ring, which was found on the closet floor.
Police are reviewing the home’s video surveillance system and surrounding neighborhood cameras hoping for a lead to catch the crooks. If caught, the criminals will most likely be charged with residential burglary and theft. Residential burglary is a class B felony with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prision and $20,000.00 fine.
